EBBA 2026 Annual Meeting Field Trips
Powdermill Avian Research Center - Tour and Bird Banding Sunday, March 22nd, 7:30am-11:30am Powdermill Avian Research Center 1860 Route 381 Rector, PA No registration required - Open House Format Visit Powdermill's new banding lab building and learn about the research ornithologists and banders have been doing at Powdermill since 1961. The nets will be open (weather permitting) for banding that morning. To learn more about the banding station, visit www.powdermillarc.org.
National Aviary Sunday, March 22nd, 11:00am 700 Arch St Pittsburgh, PA CLICK HERE TO REGISTER before March 8th! Visit the National Aviary in Pittsburgh during EBBA's Annual Meeting. Below is a rough schedule - registrants will be sent more details ahead of the tour. 10:30 am-11:00 am Arrival & Check-in 11:00 am-11:30 am Passport to Parks Bird Show 11:30 am-12:30 pm Guided Tour - Meet in the Atrium 12:30 pm-Departure Explore the Aviary The Aviary has excellent exhibits including free flight rooms, a penguin habitat, and much more. After the scheduled tour, participants are welcome to explore on their own for as long as they wish. Cost is only $20 per Meeting attendee. Minimum group size is 15.
