EBBA 2025 Annual Meeting Program


We're still finalizing the schedule, but we're excited to share the following confirmed speakers:

Friday Night Keynote

To kick off our meeting on Friday night will have Felicia Sanders of South Carolina’s Department of Natural Resource, and Fletcher Smith, of Georgia’s Department of Natural Resources co-presenting on their collaborative Red Knot Research that includes population modeling using resights of flagged birds, Motus tracking, and satellite tag tracking. 

Saturday Night Keynote

On Saturday night, we will hear from Clark Rushing of the University of Georgia, who will be presenting some recent work with large-scale analyses of MAPS data to investigate molt and its relationship with breeding and survival.

  • Chris Hill (Coastal Carolina University) – Loggerhead Shrikes
  • Adam Smith (American Bird Conservancy) – Saltmarsh Sparrows or Painted Bunting Motus
  • William Oakley (New Mexico State University – postdoc) – Seaside Sparrow, Nelson’s Sparrows, Saltmarsh Sparrow mark-recap population models, translocation experiment
  • Megan Linke (East Carolina University) – King Rails (Memorial grants recipient)
  • Garrett Rhyne (American Bird Conservancy) – Swainson’s Warbler geolocators (Memorial grants recipient)
  • Cailin O’Connor (Keane University) – Tracking the fate of rehabilitated passerines using Motus
  • Michael Gamble (Town of Kiawah Island) – Molt limits
