Please join us for the Annual Meeting of the Eastern Bird Banding Association! Charleston, SC February 28 - March 2, 2025 Meeting Location & Lodging This year's EBBA Meeting will be held at the Kiawah Island Golf Resort in Charleston, South Carolina, just 21 miles from the historic city of Charleston and located on one of the state's most pristine barrier islands. Part of South Carolina’s beautiful Lowcountry, Kiawah Island consists of old maritime forests with saltwater marshes, and an abundance of local plants and wildlife (including painted buntings!). Attendees will need to contact the resort and inquire regarding options and pricing, and will book their lodging directly with the resort. Learn More Here Meals Options & Pricing All registrants are welcome to either dine on their own, or join us for several meals throughout the three-day meeting. These meals come at an additional cost* added to your registration fee (aside from breakfast on Sunday morning) and include the following: Friday Night Buffer Dinner & Oyster Bake - $40.00 Saturday Lunch Buffet - $25.00 Saturday Dinner Buffet - $40.00 Saturday Breakfast - $10.00 Sunday Continental Breakfast at Town Hall - free of charge All meals will be held at the resort, aside from Sunday's Continental Breakfast held at Kiawah Island's Town Hall. *Note on pricing: as many have experienced, the cost of food has risen significantly in recent years; to keep prices down for our meeting attendees, EBBA has subsidized a portion of the dining expenses to bring them to the above levels. During registration, you will be able to note whether you require a vegetarian/vegan and/or gluten free option (these are not shown on the menu). Bucket Raffle and Silent Auction There’s nothing like our famous bucket raffle and silent auction! Every year, our raffle features great deals on banding pliers, mist nets, traps, books, artwork, handmade jams, quilts, and more. The proceeds support grants to assist avian research. Your dollars will help fund bird studies to help us better understand bird conservation, habitat, migration and much more! Please consider bringing an item to donate to our bucket raffle!
