EBBA's monthly webinar series continues on October 21st at 7 pm EDT with a presentation from the Banding Director at Braddock Bay Raptor Research, Dr. David Mathiason. Join us for "Just Another Bird (but watch out for those feet!): Raptor Banding 101!"

Much of what we do while banding raptors is similar to what one does when banding passerines, with the same morphological measurements and research questions. The biggest difference is that raptor banding involves active trapping techniques, often involving live lures, and the birds tend to be somewhat larger in size. We will show some pictures and videos of what we do at Braddock Bay Raptor Research. We’ll also highlight some of our research efforts involving Motus transmitters and Sharp-shinned Hawks.
